2012 TBR Pile Reading Challenge WRAP-UP

Welcome 2012 TBR PILE Reading Challenge participants!

First of all, I wanted to thank you for joining this year's TBR Pile Reading Challenge! I was honoured and excited to see over 500 people sign up for our challenge - thank you for joining us! Hope you had an amazing time reading all your TBR books and you managed to tame your shelves - even if only just a little bit!

Before we move on to my December wrap-up post, I also wanted to apologize to you. As I'm sure many of you have noticed, some of our hosts failed to post their wrap-ups. I am deeply sorry about that. I myself have failed to keep track of all the wrap-up posts due to a very busy year (complete with two big moves, family issues and getting a puppy). I trusted the wrap-ups would go up as scheduled and did not bother following up and checking if they in fact did. Moreover, I was not aware of the fact that some of the hosts did not post their wrap-ups until just today, when one of the participants have brought it to my attention (thank you!). I do not know why the wrap-ups did not go up and I am sorry that you guys had no place to link up your reviews.

To make up for that, I will be giving away two prizes during my wrap-up! One - a book of choice from Book Depository (up to $12) and two - a 2013 YA ARC bundle (3 surprise books).

We are ready to kick off 2013 TBR Pile Reading Challenge with a new set of hosts! There are few changes, too! This year, I have decided to reduce the number of hosts to 6 (every host gets two wrap-up posts). We are also opening the challenge to everyone, it won't be blogger-only anymore! I have invited some of my favorite and most trustworthy bloggers to co-host the challenge with me and I am very confident that 2013 edition will be much better!

2013 hosts:

Rachel @Fiktshun (http://www.fiktshun.com)
Justin @Justin's Book Blog (http://www.justinsbookblog.com/)
Tiffany @Escaping.. One Book At A Time (http://escapingonebookatatime.blogspot.com/)
Bonnie @Words At Home (http://www.wordsathome.ca/)
Emily @Doodle's Book Blog (http://doodlesbookblog.blogspot.com/)
and yours truly :)

Oh gosh, I stopped counting after I hit my goal of 50! And that was sometime in the middle of the year! It's going to take me a LONG time to link-up! :P

My favorites were:
FAEFEVER and SHADOWFEVER by Karen Marie Moning
THE DUFF by Kody Keplinger
DRINK, SLAY, LOVE by Sarah Beth Durst

I got owned by this challenge this year. There were just so many pretty new books and I only read 5 of my TBRs in the entire year. However, I have big plans for the TBR Challenge of 2013!

I made it to 51. Since I set my goal at 30 I feel pretty good about it. Favorites: Eona, Cascade, and Clockwork Prince. Most of my favorite reads this year were also published this year. While it was easy to read off my TBR list it wasn't as easy to stay up with this challenge. I managed to post a wrap up each month through August but that is about it.

I only read 12 for this. But I really enjoyed a couple of them a lot, First Kill by Heather Brewer, Shatter Me by Taherah Mafi, and Ascend by Amanda Hocking.

Eep! I left the name of my books in the Rafflecopter instead of the links, sheesh. But the links are all in the linky below! Sorry, I don't follow directions well apparently!

Hi, Evie!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I noticed that a couple of the challenge hosts did not do a wrap-up post, as they were supposed to. So it's really nice of you to allow us to link up our reviews here! I'll be doing that just as soon as I get a chance.

Thanks for the giveaway, too!! : )

I enjoyed reading a lot of them! Like Daughter of Smoke and Bone- it was EPIC. :) And the Iron Fey series too! I fell in love with it so bad. I also read a lot more, but I just didn't get the chance to review them, like Vampire Academy and the Fever series. :)

And mid-year, I changed blogs, so that's why some of my entries are linked to a different blog. :) I think I signed up as Jen @ Midnight Book Thief, because I used to run www.midnightbookthief.blogspot.com. But yeah, the rest of them are linked to www.bookexhibitionism.de. :)

I read 21 books, which met my goal. It actually, JUST met my goal. I don't think I can pick a favorite because I really enjoyed them all. Thanks for hosting!

I read 32 out of a target of 50. So I didn't exactly complete it, but I read some awesome books that I wouldn't have got to otherwise, so in that way it was a success.

My favourite had to be The End of Mr Y by Scarlett Thomas. It had been on my shelf for more than a year, but I ended up falling in love with it.

I think I read around 15 but I didn't meet my goal and I only wrote reviews for about 10. My favourites were The Princess Bride, The Art of Fielding and You Don't Have to Say You Love Me.
