YOUR NOISE REVEALS YOU, TODD HEWITT.

Description:
Part two of the Chaos Walking literary sci-fi thriller follows a boy and a girl who are caught in a warring town where thoughts can be heard and secrets are never safe. Reaching the end of their tense and desperate flight in THE KNIFE OF NEVER LETTING GO, Todd and Viola did not find healing and hope in Haven. They found instead their worst enemy, Mayor Prentiss, waiting to welcome them to New Prentisstown. There they are forced into separate lives: Todd to prison, and Viola to a house of healing where her wounds are treated. Soon Viola is swept into the ruthless activities of the Answer, aimed at overthrowing the tyrannical government. Todd, meanwhile, faces impossible choices when forced to join the mayor’s oppressive new regime. In alternating narratives — Todd’s gritty and volatile; Viola’s calmer but equally stubborn — the two struggle to reconcile their own dubious actions with their deepest beliefs. Torn by confusion and compromise, suspicion and betrayal, can their trust in each other possibly survive?

Quotes:
“You are the choices you make.” - Corrine

My thoughts:
I loved it, maybe even more than the first one. It's just so wonderfully written, you can't stop reading! Patrick Ness is a new shining star and I am a huge fan of his writing style. The book was absolutely magnetizing, I loved the fact that we could read the whole story from two perspectives - Todd's and Viola's. It is definitely one of my top favorite books (of YA genre) and I am 100% sure I will read just about anything that Patrick Ness will produce in the future - he is brilliant!

Glad to see that you are still in love with the series. It's not often you find something you absolutely love. Since I have yet to read the first one, I didn't read this one's synopsis, but I plan to start the first book soon. Your want to continue reading the series shows that it has great potential for all.

I didn't read the synopsis cause i haven't read the first one. I'm just commenting on your review of it. Sometimes or probably most of the time the 2nd book (or sometimes the third book) is better than the first. Ha! I can't wait to read the series.

I have had this series sitting on my bookshelf for quite a while..sounds like I should crack them open. I bought them because author Cassandra Clare once commented that they were ones she really liked...so I bought them straight away.

I just discovered this series last week at the library. I added them to my TBR and have thought about them a few times since then. Maybe I should have grabbed them while I had the chance. I really want to read them!

You loved this one maybe better than the first book speaks volumes. I should make sure I have this book on hand once I finish with the first bok (that is, when I start reading the first book).

Wow, maybe I should wait to read the first one until I have this one too. I can't believe I haven't heard of these books before! I'm super excited to read them! :)

I love stories that are told from two perspectives. It makes them so much more interesting to read. Well-written books are sometimes hard to find. Thank you for the great tip!

I finished the first book in the series, but haven't picked up this one yet. I keep passing it in the library, but after reading your review that its as good as the first, I'm ready to go pick it up. Plus that cliff-hanger from book one...it was good, but I need answers.

Oh no wonder it's a sequel to The Knife of Never Letting Go.

I was wondering why the premise was so similar.

I haven't heard about this trilogy either, but that summary sounds fantastic. I'll admit that dual perspectives tend to weird me out, mostly because they're rarely done properly, but it sounds like it works well in this book and I'm willing to give it a shot. Thanks for the recommendation!
