Synopsis
TRULY
Maddy finally has everything she’s ever wanted: a decent job, her own place with her BFF, a great guy… well, he isn’t exactly perfect, but who is?

Logan will soon have it all: a degree at a pristine college, a job at his girlfriend’s father’s firm, a gorgeous girl to share it with. Then why isn’t he happy?

MADLY
Maddy’s world shatters when she catches her best friend and boyfriend cheating. Forced to start over, she takes a job far away from home.

Logan’s summer job options fizzle out. Nearly broke and desperate, he’s forced to take a job as a camp counselor for the summer.

DEEPLY
Maddy swears off guys, even to the point of lying and saying she’s taken. But when Logan comes along, she fights feelings that are surfacing for him.

If Logan has everything he wants, then why can’t he stop thinking about Maddy?

Secrets. Lies. Summer Camp.

Quotes
We're just friends," I say quickly.
"Like I said, guys and girls can't be friends."
  "Sure they can."
"Not if one of you has feelings for the other."  She tilts her head.  "Do you?"
I get in Syd's car instead and slam the door.  Kitty and the gang walk out of the house, bringing with them food coma smiles, but I hate their happiness.  I hate love.  I hate romance.  I hate men.  I hate it all.
It's not okay, but I let him hug me anyway.  It all keeps rolling over me.  I'm falling for a guy I can't have, and I can't stop myself from wishing he was mine.
My Thoughts

The truth is that this little novella of 125 pages hooked me, just like the other books I have picked up by Brenda Pandos.  I am quickly becoming a fan of novella's but also find that stories like this make for a book that you can't help but want to come back to.

It's so hard to speak of pacing and plot when it comes to a novella, especially a first novella.  Pandos has a great story set up for Maddy.  You get a great feel for who Maddy is and what she has been through.  There is no room for lulls in the story or filler, making Truly, Madly, Deeply a quick and easy read.  A quick and easy read with a fun plot that I believe will have many people smiling.

My heart went out to Maddy right from the start.  She is the kind of girl that has had a hard life and yet still tries to do right by everyone.  However, she does have a little bit of a lie/exaggeration problem.  She doesn't want people to know what she is going through, nor does she want them to really know what her life is truly like.  I believe that Maddy needed to trust her friend a little more and let some of what she is holding in out, but with past circumstances I forgave this little short coming.  This girl has been through a lot but has a lot to work towards now, and people to learn to trust.

For a first novella the romance is building without a doubt.  The tension between Maddy and Logan is undeniable, but there are many circumstances standing in the way.  Maddy lets her past heart break stand in her way, but at the same time she wants to let him in.  Logan is what Maddy wants and he could be so good for her, if only he didn't have something standing in the way as well.  Logan has a girlfriend and claims she is the love of his life.  This brought up the question for me constantly of how he could talk/act like he did around Maddy and love another so much.

I am looking forward to getting my hands on the rest of these novella's.  There is a decent base set up in this first instalment but there is so much more coming, and I can't wait to find out how it all happens.  Like, can they just be friends or will they both take a move that they will regret.  There are so many ways that these novella's can go and I'm sure many that I have not even considered.  If you like New Adult, camp and novella's don't hesitate to pick up Brenda Pandos' Truly, Madly, Deeply, you will not regret it.
