My favourite reads of this year are pretty much all Indie except one, Wereworld: Rise of the Wolf by Curtis Jobling. I loved it and the author is such a nice guy. I also got a kick out of Angelfall by Susan Ee, Eutopia by David Nickle, and Survivor by James Phelan.
