My Thoughts

Finally, a teething accessory that I'm not ashamed to wear! :)

I love everything about this necklace - from the cool geometric hexagon shape of the beads to the hip color scheme it comes in. The kid loves it, too. She's past most of her teething - only missing a couple of her back teeth at this point (18 months old), but I've read somewhere that when the last couple teeth are breaking through, the whole jaw feels tingly and itchy for your child, so she is now back to trying to chew on her toys and bottle nipples. This necklace couldn't arrive at a better time. She immediately took to playing with it and chewing on it. Considering she has most of her teeth out and she's been chewing on the beads for over 2 h now, I'd say these beads are pretty durable - no teeth-marks so far!

The necklace has a very generous length, but if for whatever reason you feel it's too long, you can easily adjust the length by opening the clasp, shortening the strings and closing the clasp again.

The silicone beads are soft enough for your child to gently massage their gums with it, to provide relief from teething pain and itchiness. The shape makes it easy for your child to hold the beads in their clumsy little hands. Each bead is about the size of a grape, so it's easy for your child to put it in their mouth.

All in all, this is a fantastic teething necklace. Well-made, fashionable and packaged with care and thought - an all around great experience for both the baby and the mom.

My Thoughts

This is a really cool toy for your little one!

My daughter's eyes lit up when she first saw the xylophone. It's colorful and very well-made. The base is made of sturdy and durable wood. There are seven metal notes (A-G), each one is different color. They're all vivid and bright, and they produce clear and pleasant tones.

The toy comes with a little booklet filled with simple tunes for your child to play. This is a a great touch and I think when my daughter is older, she'll have fun learning how to play the songs. At this point (she's only 18 months old), she can only struck the notes randomly, but I have noticed a big improvement between now and when she first started to play with it. The more she plays, the better her eye to hand coordination gets. She already figured out that running the wooden mallet across the notes will produce a beautiful sound. Plus, she looks extremely pleased with herself when she manages to struck the keys just right and make a louder sound.

This xylophone is both fun and educational. It's perfectly safe to play with and captures my daughter's attention for hours. It's so much better for her than watching TV or playing a piano app on my iPad, I am thrilled she loves it so much!

My Thoughts

This is an exceptionally well-made toy for babies age 6 months+. It's super fun, colorful, engaging and also quite educational.

There are three modes you can set this toy to:

- educational mode (picture of an open book) - voice speaks about animals and their sounds

- musical mode (picture of a musical note) - plays melodies

- piano mode (picture of a dot) - turns into a piano, so your child can learn how to make single sounds

It requires 3 AAA batteries to run and they are not included with the toy. You will also need a mini cross screwdriver to open the battery compartment. There are two volume settings and plenty of little things that move, roll, turn and flash. The lady bug spins around, the butterfly's wings are moving, the snail's shell rolls around and all the piano buttons set off flashing lights. It's really extremely entertaining and attention grabbing, and my (already 18 months old) daughter had plenty of fun playing with this toy.

The size is perfect for the target age group. It's lightweight, so your baby can even lift it up without straining themselves. It's good for entertainment on-the-go, too. The colors are vivid and the shapes of animals very friendly-looking. It seems very sturdy and safe for your baby to play with. All in all, a really nice baby-toddler toy that will bring plenty of joy for your little one. I most definitely recommend it.

My Thoughts

This is one of the best, most thoughtfully designed toys I've seen on the market thus far. My daughter (18 months old now) absolutely adores it - it has quickly became one of her favorite toys and she'll play with it for hours at a time. When we first got it, she refused to let go of it even when having a meal or watching her favorite YouTube tunes - she'd just hug it closely! It was so adorable!

The toy is incredibly well-made - with bright flashing lights, songs, interactive elements (a little suitcase that pops open,a cellphone and a bottle on retractable strings and a rotating capsule filled with pearl-colored balls), and - most importantly - an awesome father-son duo that can't stand being apart! Daddy-turtle can move around - he goes forward and if he runs into an obstacle he rotates and chooses a different path. He also turns his head, in a way that looks as if he's making eye contact when saying things like "Can you help me find Jack?"

Little Jack has a special place on his daddy's back. When you place him there, the two of them will go on an adventure with happy tunes playing in the background. When Jack falls down, he'll call his daddy and ask for help. Daddy, too, will ask for your child's assistance in placing Jack back on his shell. I find this little exchange quite heartwarming and educational, it will teach your child to care for little Jack, to recognize the little turtle's distress and try to help him. It's a very positive, character shaping exercise!

Overall, this is one of the cutest and most entertaining toys I've seen, and one that also has a hugely positive impact on your child's emotional development. Can't recommend this enough!

Beauty Product Review: Dream Beauty Box Professional Makeup Brushes + Win 1 of 3 sets!

If you think these look soft.. You're absolutely right!

Honestly, "soft" doesn't even begin to cover it. These are, hands down, the softest brushes I have ever used, and that is including my Real Techniques and Sephora brushes. They are cashmere soft, with fibers so fine and gentle on your face, it's actually hard to believe these are synthetic.

There are 5 brushes in this set, and they come in a neat black pouch. What you get is pretty much all you should need for a complete face makeup - a gorgeous face brush, a nicely shaped contour brush, a standard eye-shadow brush, a fantastic crease/blending brush and a smudge brush (to perfect your smokey eye look!). These are all the brushes I ever use for applying my makeup, no matter if it's a date-night or a mope-around-at-home-in-sweatpants night.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'd like to say that I get at least one review request for makeup brushes per week and I have long since stopped accepting those, because most of the brushes sold on Amazon are lacking in quality and/or overpriced. When the owner of the company emailed me about evaluating this brush set, I accepted it because the brushes looked like they were top-quality, very soft and well-made. I am so happy that I did, because they really are one of the best makeup brushes I've used to date. I will be buying a set for my mom and recommending those to all of my friends.

Beauty Review: Luseta Beauty Argan Oil Hair Masque + Giveaway!

Absolutely amazing! I just washed my hair and used the masque for the first time and it was a hair salon quality experience - what a fantastic product!

I've been using the Lusetta Tea Tree and Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner set religiously, because it is one of only three products that help with my perpetually itchy and dry scalp, so was thrilled to be able to try their hair masque, too. It lived up to all my expectations. It's even better than my usual Schwartzkopf hair masque of choice - it smells better and leaves your hair feeling baby soft.

I applied the masque to the length of my hair, only making sure not to apply it to my scalp (I think you can probably do that no problem, but I have a problematic scalp, so decided to stay on the safe side), and left it in for about 5 minutes. It felt AMAZING. The first thing that hits you is the masque's absolutely phenomenal smell - can't be sure what it is exactly, but it smells along the lines of Moroccan Rose. Then you feel the thick, silky texture of the masque and when you wash it out, you're left with smooth, tangle-free hair. My hair feels softer and does not look dry even after blow drying. I usually apply few drops of pure argan oil to the ends of my hair, because they tend to get extremely dry and weak, but this time I skipped that step, for there was absolutely no need for any extra moisture.

I'm in love with this product and so very happy to have discovered this brand. My mother in law tried their shampoo line when she last came to visit and she is now a fan, too. I can't wait for her to try the masque!
