Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

I could always give you a teaser. You bookish people love teasers, don't you?
"Say it." "Say what?" "Tell me what you told me earlier." "I love you." "That's all I ever need to hear." "Those three words?" "Always those three words."
If there is anything, there is us. You and me. No one else.
I understood books. I did not understand boys--especially alien boys.
Crossing the room, he stopped in front of me. "I'm not going to bite." "That's good." "Unless you want me to," He said with a devilish grin.
Kitten, your mind is a terrible and dirty place.

All right, the second book is just as good as the first. If not better. I mean Daemon is just so swoon-worthy! The second book picks up pretty much where you left off with the first one. It's so hard to put together all of my feelings in this review. Because there is so much to say yet, nothing other than it was amazing. Usually with a series, I love the first book and I have high expectations for the following books and they usually don't always get met. Well, that is not the case with Onyx. It blew past Obsidian. Like by miles. I really wasn't expecting to fall in love with Onyx more than I had with Obsidian.

The characters are all the same with some additions. Dee wasn't a huge part of this novel, which made me sad because she is just simply amazing. I wish I saw her more, but I understand why we didn't. Daemon is even better than the first book. And Katy was finally starting to come out of her weakness shell. She was starting to stand up for herself and the things she believes. Granted, she could have done a few different things.

Anyways, this Blake character comes in to the mix and I didn't like him from the beginning! I mean stop getting in the way of Daemon and Katy! I'm all for Katy with Daemon and no one else! Blake just got in the way and messed everything up at one point! Still don't like him.

If this series is keeps going the way it has so far, I'm excited. I'm hoping that Opal brings as much enjoyment and more DAEMON!! And I really hope that I see more of Dee!
