Interview + Giveaway of signed copy: C.V. Hunt, author of Endlessly

My dear readers, it's time for another awesome interview! I'm very pleased and honored to be joined today by a brilliant new writer! Please welcome C.V. Hunt, author of  absolutely mesmerizing novel, Endlessly!

E: Evie
CV: C.V. Hunt

E: Welcome to Bookish C.V! Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
CV: I live in Ohio with my husband. We own a small business, I also work a full time job,  write on the side, and I'm a licensed wedding officiant. So, I keep pretty busy. I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music and watching horror movies when I get a chance.
E: Who or what inspired you to write Endlessly?
CV: I've always been an avid reader, but I never really thought about writing. I had never even written a short story before Endlessly. But then a family member passed away unexpectedly, and another was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It made me take a look at my life and what I had accomplished. I started thinking about the things that I wanted to do, see, and experience. Writing a book ended up on that list. I have a philosophy of living life without regrets. Even if you try and fail, at least you tried. So I started writing.
E: Do you mind telling us how long did it take for you to write it?
CV: It was around three months. It sort of started out as a short story, a day in the life of Verloren, and then the story just started opening up and growing.
E: Which of your characters do you feel is most like you?
CV: When I first started writing, I thought that a lot of myself went into Verloren.  The best advice I got was to write what I know. So Verloren, Ashley, Jason, and Jessica all got extremes of my own personality. As I continue to write, I find that I relate with Jason the most.
E: In Endlessly, two lead characters, Verloren and Ash, are soul mates destined to be together. Do you believe in destiny?
CV: Sometimes I like to think that everyone's path in life is already paved, but then there are times I like to think that anyone can create their own destiny.
E: What's next in line for you, are you working on a new book now?
CV: I've actually written a second and third book that follow "Endlessly". The second book is titled "Legacy" and the third is "Phantom". I've written over half of a fourth book also. Each book is first person point of view, but they are narrated by different characters. "Legacy" will pick up where "Endlessly" left off, but it will be narrated by Ashley. "Phantom" will be Jason's story.
E: What genres do you like to read in your free time?
CV: Usually horror, paranormal, or a thriller. I like to look for the four "M"s - monsters, murder, madness, and mayhem. A book doesn't have to have all of these aspects; it can have any combination or just one.
E: Which of your favorite books would you recommend everybody to read?
CV: If you are interested in horror, at the moment I would highly recommend David Wellington's vampire series "13 Bullets". If you steer more toward thriller I would tell you to check out "Roll of the Die" by Sean P. Bridges.

E: Where is your favorite place for writing? Do you have any special writing ritual?
CV: For the most part I write at my computer in the dining room, but sometimes I will sit in the living room with my laptop. I usually wait until my husband is in bed and the TV is off. Most of my writing is done between the hours of 12am and 5am when the world is sleeping. If I write during the day, I will listen to music through noise cancelling headphones. I like to get lost in the story and forget about the world around me.
E: What advice would you give to writers who are interested in writing Paranormal/Fantasy novels?
CV: Believe that anything is possible. Forget the real world and stereotypical limitations on certain characters. Rules were meant to be broken and rewritten.
E: What are your biggest pet peeves?
CV: People who stare at you. Haven't we all been told that is rude? Ha ha.
E: Tell us five random facts about yourself.
CV: 1 - I love Diet Mt. Dew. 2 - I have a strange, twisted, demented and goofy sense of humor. 3 - I like to take pictures of nature. 4 - I rarely watch TV. 5 - I go overboard for Halloween every year.
Random Questions:

- white or dark chocolate? dark
- coffee or tea? coffee
- favorite fictional character? Tyler Durden
- favorite movie? Fight Club
- favorite song? A tuff one, this answer is always changing, I'd say right now it would have
to be "I'm so sick" by Flyleaf.
- favorite TV show? South Park
- Spring or Autumn? Autumn
- printed copy or eBook? eBook (I'm a Kindle owner.)

It's nice to see I'm not the only night owl writer out there. :D And Kurt Cobain-as-vampire? That's almost as great as him being Death in Jackie Kessler's "Four Horsemen" series.
