CMYKlays - Polymer Clay Miniature Jewelry (Review + Giveaway)

I have known Jacqui, owner of CMYKlay on Etsy, for years. Ever since I've known her, and long before then, Jacqui has been a lover of art and all things mini. Back in July 2014 Jacqui decided that now that her daughter was a bit older she wanted to begin working again and thus CMYKlay was born! Home to 379 (and counting) polymer clay miniature jewelry - charms, necklaces, bracelets, and more - CMYKlay is the perfect shop to pick up a small trinket for any food lover!

Seriously, how real do these look?! If I didn't know better, I would say that I did in fact take a bite out of that Thin Mint. She has such an incredible variety you are bound to find a favorite amongst her miniatures for yourself or for a friend. And if you don't she does take custom orders.

This crafty and exceptionally talented woman used to run CMYKakes - if you scroll through the photos on the Facebook page you can see the talent shining through (I take partial credit for the monkey rice krispie cake as that was requested by me lol) and though she doesn't make cakes anymore she refused to let her talent go to waste (my words, not hers). Enter her Wedding Cake Replicas. Absolutely stunning! It's one thing to make an ice cream cone or cookie replica, but a wedding cake? Honestly, Jacqui has truly outdone herself with these.

The wedding cakes do take a huge amount of effort on Jacqui's part, not that she doesn't love it, so each cake is a personal order and upon receiving a picture she will quote you a price. As she states her "background in cakes has made [her] a perfectionist and [she pays] very close attention to detail to get your cake as close to the original," which totally shows through in these replicas.

Jacqui was kind enough to send me my own sushi key chain to experience the wonder that is polymer clay miniature jewelry. I loved Jacqui's shipping packaging: a bright teal envelope with hot pink tissue paper and a super cute box!

The sushi key chain itself is perfect. I attached it to my keys immediately and even a week later, there isn't any wear and tear. I've gotten compliments on it as well - my keys just sit on my desk at work so when somebody stops by and sees it they say something. It's small, no bigger than my thumb, but durable and strong. The detail is amazing and there are even bits of rice on the side and bottom that add to the realism.

My only issue with this is that every time I see it I instantly crave sushi!

Fashion Review: Ruinuo Stainless Steel and Leather Jewelry

Men's Brief Vintage Style "The Faith" Tiger's eye Stone

So pretty, the Tiger's Eye stone is very mesmerizing. While this is men's jewelry piece, and - admittedly - it is on the larger and heavier side, I do like wearing it myself sometimes, because I've read somewhere a while ago that Tiger's Eye stone goes well with Leo zodiac (I'm a Leo). I think this could easily pass for a unisex pendant.

The design is very nice.The tribal swirls on the side of it add a very cool touch, and I like the contrast between the silver, black and honey-brown colors. The pendant itself is a bit bulky and it does weigh a bit, but it's such a beautiful, eye-catching piece, it's really worth putting up with the extra weight.

Bottom line is, I really like it. It's stylish and quite fashionable.

Unisex PU Leather "Summon" Bracelet

Beautiful, so well-made and stylish - I am in love with this bracelet!

It compliments many different types of looks - whether it's a paisley cami dress, crochet maxi dress or flower-power jeans + blouse - this bracelet works with all these styles and more. It's a great accessory, very chic and vintage-looking, but not too flashy or too shabby. I really love the combination of different shades of brown with the silver color of stainless steel accents. I also think the wooden beads go really nicely with the leather straps. All in all, it's just a wonderful piece; and so comfortable to wear, too.

There are many similar bracelets out there, but many of them look rather cheap and aren't as durable as this one. Plus, more often than not, they come with weird loops and hooks that are tricky to put on. With this one, you just pull on the black strings to adjust the tightness. It's very easy and convenient! Plus, this bracelet here is made with quality material that won't wear off easily. I definitely recommend it.

925 Sterling Silver "Together" Necklace

This is a gorgeous and incredibly well-designed necklace with magnetic pendants that click together to create a heart! So meaningful and full of charm!

It's made out of 925 Sterling Silver with Cubic Zircon accents on both parts of the heart. The woman's part comes with a delicate silver chain that really stands out. The man's part comes with a black string that contrasts with the silver pendant nicely. Both pendants are engraved - one says "Love you", the other says "Miss you". The classic look of this piece ensures it goes well with both casual and more dressy/formal looks, the silver is very bright and shiny. It's a very elegant necklace, great for a meaningful gift!

Stainless Steel "Chill Cool" Necklace

Very cool stainless steel necklace that comes in two colors (blue or black) and with a choice of either a chain or simple black string. The design of the pendant is simple yet very attractive. Its symmetrical shape and minimalistic embellishment makes this a great gift for any man. This pendant is something even my husband would be glad to wear, and he is not a jewelry type of guy at all.

As with other Ruinuo jewelry pieces, this necklace is very sturdy and flawless looking. It came packaged in a beautiful gift box with a blue ribbon on top, and a cleaning/polishing cloth. The chain/string length is adjustable and the necklace itself isn't too heavy, or too bulky, so you can wear it comfortably all day long.

Unisex Stainless Steel "Cross Zodiac" Zircon Pendant Necklace

Really cool jewelry piece! I absolutely love the design - the combination of the cross symbol with the star constellation of a zodiac sign is pretty neat and unique. The pendant is pretty large (2.16 x 1.22 inch) and seems very durable, but not too bulky. It comes with a resizable chain and a black strap, which is a very cool alternative for men.

The pendant is made out of stainless steel and titanium, and it doesn't cause any skin irritation. The cubic zirconia stones represent stars in a zodiac constellation (in this particular case it is Cancer zodiac). I think this is a very well-thought-out, modern design that will appeal to a wide variety of people. This would definitely make a great and meaningful gift.

Be Mind Series Bracelet

This is another beautiful piece of jewelry from Ruinuo. I am absolutely in love with their jewelry - they are all extremely well made, durable and modern looking. This bracelet is no exception.

This bracelet is very shiny, especially in the sun! The design is simple, yet very chic and eye-catching. The bracelet is very comfortable to wear. There are no hard edges so it doesn't catch on clothes or hair. It comes with a bonus polishing cloth, which is very neat! It's on the thicker side (definitely not flimsy!), but it doesn't feel heavy or bulky.

Overall, I like this bracelet a lot and would recommend it to anyone who likes their jewelry modern and unique.

"Forever Love" Cubic Zircon Necklace for Lovers

This set of couple necklaces is an awesome modern spin on the "two halves of one heart" jewelry. Made out of stainless steel and embellished with gorgeous cubic zirconia stones, it's a real crowd pleaser. My husband doesn't like wearing any type of jewelry and it's nearly impossible to get him to wear a necklace, but he actually really loved this design and its beautiful and meaningful message. We just had to swap the chain with a little less flashy one!

I really like the look of this set. It has a certain warmth to it. The "Forever Love" message is very special and I love how the bigger pendant kind of embraces the smaller one, keeping it close and safe - much like a man protecting his loved one.

The chains seem pretty durable and the overall quality of this set is really amazing.A lot of thought went into this design for sure, even the packaging is very nice.

"Hope" Cubic Zircon Necklace for Lovers

This is my new favorite necklace - so gorgeous looking, shiny and extremely well made!

The design is very unique and I love that it is both so elegant and modern at the core. It's very eye-pleasing and I love how shiny the stainless steel and the cubic zirconia is.

Both the pendant and the chain look very feminine and delicate, but in fact they are super sturdy. Just like the other jewelry pieces from Ruinuo, this necklace is made out of stainless steel and so it doesn't cause any skin irritation at all. The chain's length is just perfect and the lobster clasp is easy to use (not one of those super flimsy ones!).
