Signed, Sealed, Delivered (#34-35)

Signed, Sealed, Delivered is a new meme that will replace the In My Mailbox feature that I used to participate in every month-or-so.

The purpose of it is to post about the books we received during the past week (ARC, electronic galleys, books won in giveaways, bought or borrowed from the library - you can list anything you want!)

Hello lovelies!
Hope you all had a great week :) My Signed, Sealed, Delivered post is a little bit late this week, but that's due to the fact that I wasn't home yesterday. I wasn't actually planning on doing a SSD post this week at all, but with the amount of books I got yesterday (I blame Nicole for that!), I just figured if I put it off, I'll never get around to featuring them all later. So here I am!

Yesterday was a great day :) The fabulous Joanne Levy had her book launch for Small Medium At Large (a book that you should be reading, dudes!), so together with the wonderful bloggettes we went on a road trip all the way to Hamilton (ugh! the traffic in Toronto is just plain miserable, thank goodness we had DJ Nicole to entertain us with her "oldies" :D).

The launch was really cool! I loved seeing Joanne again, albeit only briefly as there were tons of fans there and each and every single one of them wanted a few minutes with the lovely author. I also got to chat with the wonderful Maureen McGowan (look out for her upcoming YA post-apocalyptic novel, Deviants - it will hit the shelves in October!).

And don't even get me started on everything that Joanne prepared for the attendees! WOW! Talk about awesome launch party! There were cupcakes, fruits, Kool-Aid (yum, yum, and yum!), and she even prepared awesometastic SWAG BAGS for all the bloggettes! How fantastic is that?!

Joanne read an excerpt from her book - which was so funny and adorable, everyone laughed! - and then she answered some questions (yes, she believes in ghosts, although not quite the kind of ghosts she wrote about in her book!). I wish I had more time to stick around and chat, but - faced with a long drive back home - we had to leave shortly after getting our books signed (sniff sniff).

Be sure to check out the pictures from the launch party and add Small Medium At Large to your Goodreads shelf! It's a fantastic middle grade novel that can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age!
My review of this lovely novel will posted this week - I was planning on posting it today, but didn't have time to write it up yet, sorry~!

There still many giveaways going on on the blog, so be sure to check the left sidebar!
