"Waiting On" is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Here's what I'm waiting on this week:
The Diviners by Libba Bray
Hardcover, 608 pagesExpected publication: September 18th 2012 by Little, Brown Books For Young Readers
Evie O'Neill has been exiled from her boring old hometown and shipped off to the bustling streets of New York City--and she is pos-i-toot-ly thrilled. New York is the city of speakeasies, shopping, and movie palaces! Soon enough, Evie is running with glamorous Ziegfield girls and rakish pickpockets. The only catch is Evie has to live with her Uncle Will, curator of The Museum of American Folklore, Superstition, and the Occult--also known as "The Museum of the Creepy Crawlies."When a rash of occult-based murders comes to light, Evie and her uncle are right in the thick of the investigation. And through it all, Evie has a secret: a mysterious power that could help catch the killer--if he doesn't catch her first.
It's Libba Bray, what could you possible want more? She's insanely clever and her books are not only entertaining and thrilling, but also - or most of all - intelligent and deep. And this beauty has 608 pages worth of awesome! Can't freaking wait!!! :)
What's your WOW this week? Leave me a linky, I'll drop by!

The 1920's (which I LOVE- those cute flapper dresses, and the guys wore amazing suits! Swoon), and magic?! Sounds amazing. I am dying to read my copy from BEA like right now. It's popular this week! Amazing, fantastic choice Evie!
I haven't read any of Libba Bray's writing, but this book sounds amazing! And I love that cover :) 600+ pages sounds like a lot, though... O.o
